          The lands of the tribes are being overrun, and the great city-states and kingdoms are being threatened. Haunted by guilt over the death of a young girl in his charge, Bedrin, a young knight, finds himself caught up in a struggle to bind together ancient enemies to stop this new threat.
 
           Yet Bedrin is flawed: seeking love but wounded by betrayal; with the faith to spawn gods without the belief to follow them; riven with fear yet fearless in battle.
